Acker Park
Located at 421 S. Virginia St. The park has recently been improved, and now includes: - Hiking trails with interpretive signs.

Goldwater Lake South on Mount Vernon Street, which becomes Senator Highway, about 4
miles to the entrance of the lake. Turn right and park in the designated parking spots only. There is a small parking fee of $2 per car; an annual pass is available.

Granite Creek/A.C. Williams Park This scenic park is located at 554 N. Sixth Street near downtown Prescott. - 1/2-mile jogging path - 2 restrooms - Ramadas

Heritage Park / Willow Lake Park Located at 1497 Heritage
Park Rd. East off Willow Creek Road, north of Willow Creek Park. This is the access to Willow Lake as well. - Boat launch - n - gasoline motors - Courtesy dock

Prescott Peavine National Recreation Trail Take Route 89 north to Prescott Lakes Parkway. Turn right and cross the bridge. Take the first left, and then another left into the Trail head
parking lot. Our premier trail, this was once the rail bed of the Santa Fe Railroad, built in 1893. This 4.5-mile trail passes through the scenic Granite Dells with views of Watson Lake. Hike north
as far as you want, then return the same way. Connects to the equally scenic Iron King Trail. Hours: Dawn - 10:00 PM

The Zone - Teen recreation center The Zone is a free teen recreation center and is open to youth ages 12-18. During

Stricklin Park This 5 acre forest preserve has hiking trails and access to the Butte Creek Trail. Take Gurley Street west until it changes to Thumb Butte
Road as you pass a shopping center. After 1/2 mile turn left on Sherwood Drive, just after Hassayampa Village Drive. Proceed to Stricklin Park. Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Vista Park
The 10-Acre park at 1684 Sarafina Drive opened November 11, 2007. This lovely neighborhood park's amenities include a playground, Ramada with picnic tables and tw - bar-b-que grills, park
benches, restrooms, walking trails, a scenic bridge and tw - artificial turf play areas. The artificial turf areas are experimental as they are unique to Prescott. They can be used as play areas for

Watson Lake Park Four miles north of downtown on Highway 89, this
beautiful park allows access to Watson Lake and the boulders of the Granite Dells. - Boat launch - Courtesy dock - Fishing - Fish cleaning stations

Watson Woods Watson Woods is a 140-acre riparian preserve with hiking trails, interpretive signs and wildlife viewing. Take Highway 89 north, turn right on Prescott Lakes Parkway, cross the
bridge, and take the first left onto Sundog Ranch Road. Parking is at the Peavine Trail head. For more information visit the Prescott Creeks website.
Willow Creek Park

Willow Creek Dog Park This park is an off-leash park
for dogs over four-months old that are wearing license tags and have been properly inoculated. Owners will be held responsible for any damage or injuries caused by their dogs. Located just north of
the junction of Willow Lake and Willow Creek roads. The dog park offers the following amenities: - Shade Ramada - Benches - Tables - Walking path around fence line
- Small dog area for dogs under 14 pounds - Water fountains for people and dog Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Recreational Trails within a 20-minute drive of downtown Prescott
Thumb Butte-trail 33 Permitted Uses: hiking Difficulty: moderate Hiking Time: 1 hour This Prescott, Arizona landmark is one
of the most popular hiking areas, and is located just three miles west of downtown Prescott. Head west on Gurley Street 2.5 miles to Thumb Butte Road. Continue northwest for 1.5 miles to the
recreation site and parking area. There is a day-use fee of $2.00 per vehicle. The 1.75-mile loop trail is paved and a bit steep at the start, but the views from the top are worth it.
Groom Creek Loop-trail 384 Permitted Uses: hiking, biking and motorized vehicles less than 40 inches wide Difficulty: easy Hiking Time: 3.5 hours There is little elevation gain (500
feet), so this is a great 6-mile loop hike for almost everyone. Maverick Mountain and Mt. Tritle provide a beautiful backdrop to this trail that winds through lush vegetation along the Hassayampa
River's upper basin. From downtown Prescott, head south on Mount Vernon Avenue. Continue south from Prescott approximately six miles to Groom Creek. Just beyond Groom Creek turn right on the
dirt road to Wolf Creek campgrounds. Trail 384 crosses the road within .4 miles.
Prescott Peavine Trail Permitted Uses: hiking, biking, and equestrian Difficulty: easy
Hiking Time: variable The "Rails to Trials" project helped form this winding trail that was once the route for the Santa Fe, Prescott and Phoenix railroad. The trail covers some of the
most beautiful scenery in Yavapai County. It meanders through lush riparian areas, through the beautiful Granite Dells, above Watson Lake, and towards open rangelands. Total length is 9.2 miles
round-trip, however you can leave a car at Hwy. 89A, which will make the distance about 4.6 miles. Drive east on Gurley Street from downtown Prescott to the Hwy. 89/69 intersections. Take Hwy. 89
north for 1.1 miles to Sun Dog Ranch Road and turn right. Continue north about 1.5 miles where a road turns left opposite the Animal Control headquarters. The trial is just .1 miles west of here.
Little Granite Mountain-trail 37 and loop to Granite Basin Lake Permitted Uses: hiking, bicycling (non-motorized), and horseback riding Difficulty: moderate Hiking Time: 1.5 hours
This trail provides spectacular panoramic views of Skull Valley, Prescott, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the western end of the Sierra Prietas. For a loop hike, drop a car at Granite Basin Lake. Take
trail 37 from Iron Springs trailhead to the Clark Spring Trail turnoff, which takes you to the lake. From downtown Prescott head north on Montezuma, which will turn into Whipple Street. Follow
Whipple to Miller Valley, Willow Creek, and Iron Springs road intersection. You will continue straight on Iron Springs road 6.2 miles. The trailhead is 3.2 miles west of the turnoff to Granite Basin
Lake.
